The Weather Channel website created a feature that shows the Weather Channel channel as it was forty years ago
The nostalgia made me smile
I want to share this discovery with other people
but it would make me sad if they didn't think it's as awesome as I do

Four day weekend
Spent a lot of it sleeping
Either because I'm sleep deprived, or still cold, or getting old
This might actually make me quit my job
I'm being asked to track everything I do on an hourly basis
I tell people the better part of this job is that I don't have to punch a clock, and I haven't talked to my boss in a long time
Nobody ever cared about how I spend my time, as long as I get the work done
but because I have to create my own schedule, I have to micromanage myself
I came home to discover that somebody had pulled rocks out of my garden and thrown them on the sidewalk
I assumed it was some of the kids that cut across my lawn as they get off the bus
I discovered it was a toddler from a couple of doors down
I caught him in the act, and yelled "NOOO!"
The kid ran off
Hopefully, they'll stay away now
but I'm thinking about buying some trail-cams to act as security cameras
I finally got my taxes done
I got an usually large refund
Federal gave me $700 back because of how much I was putting into my 401k
and the State gave me $2000 because of my house taxes
I'm worried that I either put in the wrong numbers and will get audited
or that I should have gotten this much back over the past five years, and lost out on $10000
My bath tub drain has been annoying me
The drain handled doesn't stay down
and the overflow drain doesn't allow enough water in the tub
I took them both out and installed a rubber plug
I once saw a thing that sticks around the overflow hole to let the tub fill up more
Tommy says he's hiring a team to clean out mom's house
I'm taking next week off and going out to clean and claim what I want
I loaded up my car ready to sleep in my car
I got to mom's house at 3pm
I had a key to her house, but couldn't get past the screen door
I texted the group chat, and asked if there were keys hidden anywhere
Turns out I just didn't try the screen door hard enough
Tommy insisted on getting me a hotel room instead of letting me sleep in my car
Tommy hired a crew to clean the house
but the dumpster hadn't arrived yet, so not a lot got done
I cleaned out the back and front doors enough so they would open fully
I claimed a bunch of soap and cleaning supplies
I found a bag with several rolls of quarters
Annie showed up to fill out some paperwork, and meet with some woman who wanted some of mom's stuff
She wanted me to fill out some paperwork that would explain what I want done with my corpse and possesions when I die
The problem is that I want to do some unusual things that aren't allowed
so there's no point in writing down what I want if every body else is going to ignore it and do what they want instead
Tommy Annie and I went to the Bear Lake Tavern for dinner
I had an overly spicy chicken sandwich that had my stomach screaming at me all night
This morning, I got to the house before anybody else
The dumpster was already there
The crew filled up the dumpster very quickly and they delivered another dumpster
The house is finally getting empty
The crew kept bringing us piles of mom's "jewelry" and random containers of coins
I wanted to take all of the rocks for my rock garden
but my car's suspension couldn't handle it
So I weighed out 400 pounds of rocks assuming my car can handle the weight of two extra people
Tommy found interesting things and sent pictures to the group chat to see if any body wanted them
Tommy and I went to a sushi restaurant for dinner
A lot of firsts in that meal
I had two sushi rolls and some boba tea and tried to eat with chopsticks
The sushi rolls were tasty and very filling
The balls in the boba tea had the texture of soggy jelly bean centers
I managed to use the chopsticks a bit, but eventually abandoned them for a fork
It rained all day
I filled up the back of my car with rocks and random useful stuff
I left at about 1pm
The rain made the other drivers stupider
I was super frustrated by the time I got home
I made sure to empty out the car before going to bed
I've noticed that my internet connection is having latency spikes
It's noticeable with Youtube and Warcraft
I'm not sure what is causing it, but I think it's the cable running from the telephone pole
I think it was in college that I asked the question "what do i want to do?"
I wrote the answer on a piece of paper
This would have been sometime between 1995 and 2005
