This was a long four day weekend
I did nothing exciting
I'd really prefer to have days off in the summer

I've had a 401K account with Stefanini
The banking house was the same as TekSystem's , Principal
I've been meaning to move my money from the old account to the new account
Today , I checked my Principal account to find the balance at $0
It turns out that Stefanini had changed over to TransAmerica
So I created an account with TransAmerica , and told them to roll it over to Principal
My balance is currently $40,000
Probably not enough to retire on
I decied to go to poker night
It was at Mike Rizzi's house
I only played a couple of hands of poker
I was dealt two 7s , and got two more 7s on the flop , I kept raising a small amount so as to not scare people off
I spent most of the night talking to the new kids about all the things they don't get to anymore
Tonight , I started driving to Indiana to see the eclipse
I want to get to Indiana University early tomorrow to beat the crowds and get a good parking space
I was on I75 , still in Michigan , the road was dark , I didn't have my brights on , Youtube was too bright
So I didn't see the opossum until it was too late
I think that was the first time I've killed a mammal
I had to stop for an hour of sleep in the car , but I still got to Bloomington early
I paid $10 for ten hours of parking with an app
Funny thing , there were a couple of bars that were filling up with college kids at 9am on a monday
I joked that college had changed from my time
I turns out they cancelled classes for the eclipse
The reason I went to Indiana was that Annie's kid , Elle , went to school there , and was living nearby now
I texted her and walked over to her house
We chatted for a bit , then I walked back into town
She was working from home today
I had packed my backpack bucket with more stuff than I needed
but the bucket was very handy as a seat
The weather was much warmer than I was expecting
I wish I had worn my kilt
It was very nice to see all the college girls dressed for the warm weather
It was hard not to ogle the girls , even though I am old enough to be their father
I found a place named "Baked!" that sold cookies
I was expecting it to be a pot house
I was upset to find that nobody was as excited as I was for the eclipse
There was a stage in the park that had bands playing for entertainment
I was thinking that they should have used the stage as a learning opportunity and have a scientist teach facts about the eclipse
I had forgotten about the leaves-shadow phenomenom and created a pinhole box out of a piece of trash and the sidewalk , but nobody was interested in the shadows I was making
I was expecting the people on the stage to announce the beginning of the eclipse , but they didn't
I noticed a definite drop in temperature
The "diamond ring" was especially bright
The darkness was especially dark , and lasted for four minutes , twice as long as it did in 2017
I decided to leave right after the eclipse
I drove back to Elle's house to say goodbye
The drive home was especially unpleasant
I think every road in Indiana is under construction at once
I lost an hour because somebody put a traffice light in the middle of the freeway
I wouldn't mind waiting , but my car has a habit of overheating when idling (i need to get the radiator fan fixed)
There were way too many semis on the road , and as a whole , they couldn't keep a constant and reasonable speed
I lost another hour at the Michigan border because of construction at Luna Pier , and I think because everybody was returning home from Ohio
I immediately fell asleep after getting home
Recently , there was an update to Stardew Valley
I started up a new game , without cheating
It's a huge time-sink of a game
And even though it has daily stopping points
It's very easy to keep playing
Today , I did something stupid
I recently made a reservation to the Rifle River campgrounds for my yearly trip
The lady said I couldn't pay with a credit card over the phone and would have to mail them a check
I would have to get a certified check from the bank
In my fear of getting it wrong
I decided it would be a better idea to drive up to Sterling and pay them with cash
It would have been fine , but the camp store was closed
So I wasted six hours and half a tank of gas
Work has gotten very frustrating lately
The staging room and warehouse are completely in capable of getting me the correct hardware on time
On top of the planners not getting the buildings correct
they are purposefully scheduling me for multiple buildings in one day
Today, I had four different buildings , one in Livonia
Luckily there wasn't much data to transfer for anybody and I was able to get everything done
