Today , I opened the first bar
I expect that pack will last me the rest of my life

Then drove to mom's birthday
It was lunch with Annie , Patti , and Bart and Becky
I went back to mom's house
Because it was her birthday , I kept my grumbling to a minimum

His friends get in over their heads , then he finally shows up and saves the day

I appreciate the extra humor
but there were times when it seemed that the dialog was trying to sound bad

I seem to have lost my GPS
Last time I saw it was during the "key not detected" debacle
It's not in the car , and I don't think it's in the house
I'm wondering if somebody stole it out of my boat at some point
I suppose the easiest way to find it , is to buy a new one

I completed an item on my summer to-do list
I kayaked up and down the rouge river
from i94 to ford road

The river has almost no flow
it's just one really long lake
I was surprised to see three boats and a jetski on the river
You could take a motor boat all the way up the river
if it weren't for the waterfall they installed at the Henry Ford estate
I found a secluded party spot between southfield and michigan
you can't be seen from either road because of the bend in the river
I dropped my paddle as I was loading the boat into the car
It wasn't there when I went back to look for it

I wish I had something that everybody wants
but that no body could take away from me

There are some dead trees in the back yard
so I chopped them down and brought out the wood chipper
I removed another one of the safety features on the chipper to make it easier to shove branches in there
The vibrations hurt my hands a little

I installed my new kitchen faucet
Removing the old sink was the hard part
I was thinking about building my own faucet out of plumbing parts
but I like this one because after removing the aerator
the water gently falls on my hands instead of being forced through the pipe

I want to stay up late enjoying the hot summer nights
but I still have to get up early and go to work the next morning
It leaves me feeling tired all day
Then I sleep in on the weekend
and I feel guilty for wasting my weekend

I had an installation in Inkster
I was on i96 and exited at Telegraph
as I was pulling up to the red light
there was some guy in a brightly colored shirt standing at the corner
I didn't think much about it until some car tried to run him over
He chased the car around the corner
I was curious to see what was going on
but some large truck blocked my view
I had forgotten about it , until the light turned green , and I heard a loud THUNK on the side of my car
I qucikly spotted a glass bottle hitting the ground , and the same guy glowering at me
My car was in the process of turning left
so the only the only 'appropriate' response I could think of
was to yell "FUCKER!" and flip him off
I now understand why that other person was trying to run him over
If I was more irrational , I would have stopped my car in the middle of the street , and tried to fight him
When I was done with my installation , I went back by the same intersection
If he was still there , I was going to call the cops on him
He wasn't there
I expect he ended up pissing off some equally unhinged person and was chased off

The weather wasn't perfect for it
but I finally took boat into lake Erie
I went down to Lake Erie Metropark
I had a hard time finding a good place to put my boat into the water
It was overcast , so I didn't bother to put on sunscreen
thinking what little reflected sun I'd get would help my tan
The wind wasn't blowing much , but I managed to get out into the middle of the lake
I had to fight the desire to forget about my house , my car , my job
and just keep sailing forever
I managed to have some naked time by jumping out of the boat and not getting dressed again
It's a large lake and few boats , so I could enjoy myself
Trouble started when the wind died
It didn't bother me as long as I was patient
but I ran into swarms of these tiny gnats
and I couldn't escape them
and then the sun came out , and didn't bring sunscreen
So I started ferociously paddling to find some wind
Luckily , the boat launch was closer that I thought it was , and I could escape the torment
I think I'll go back again , but only when the weather is perfect

I got sunburned on my arms chest and legs
so I stayed inside the house , naked , and covered in sunburn cream

The second season of Standing on a Million Lives
I expect the author is trying to convey how tortured our protagonists are
as they have to murder the bad guys to achieve their goals
but I think the english dubbing takes away the weight of their words

but I bought a game called Raft
It's survival crafting , like Minecraft
I stayed up until 2:30am playing it

Battle Game in 5 Seconds
The bad guys were overly psychotic
and the protagonists were overly smart and powerful for no reason

I went into the kitchen for breakfast
and heard a small 'click click' sound
There was a small brown bird on the floor
I was expecting it to start crazily flapping around
but it just sat on the floor looking tired
I opened the back door and shooed it out
It stil didn't fly away , just hopped down the path
I felt sorry for it , so I gave it some bird seed , and set up the hose to drip out some water
Now I have to wonder how it got in there
I keep the attic hole open for just this kind of situation
but I don't think there are any holes to the outside up there
It may have come down the furnace exhaust pipe

Lots of yard work today
edged , mowed , blew
One nice thing about waiting so long in between cleaning
is that when you do clean
it's such a difference from how bad it used to look
it looks that much better
