I'm not super familiar with the character
Matt Smith was in it
I wonder if there's something about the previous Doctors [Who] that drag a film down
Morbius gained a bunch of non-bat powers from bat blood
It was kinda distracting , but I guess Spider-man is the same
The ending seemed a bit anti-climatic
I am super annoyed with this user
His old computer is at FMCC
He needs his new computer installed at VPEC
Not too much of a problem
But I still don't have badge access to VPEC
So I sat on the floor in the lobby , waiting for the user to get me in
And then I discovered that the new computer was actually sent to AEC
I finally got the renewal completed
but the whole time the user was sitting at home pestering me remotely
To Your Eternity
The purpose of the main character was to progress
If they stayed in the same spot they would stagnate
I suppose their friends didn't have to die but it made it an interesting story
and of course there was a psychopath for a bad guy
The 1% Death Game
This is one of those power fantasies that requires god-like powers
There are 8,000,000,000 humans on the planet
Calculate the 1% richest of them
Tell those 80,000,000 people that they have one year to get rid of most of their wealth
Because in one year , I will calculate the richest 1% again , and anybody that is on both 1% lists , I will murder
"you can't do that !" "obviously , i can . i think you mean , i shouldn't . but that is up for debate"
Being the type of people that could gain so much wealth in the first place
their first thought will be how to trick me , or game the system
"you can't hide from me"
"you can give all of your possessions to your son , but you'll just be risking his life when we play this game again next year"
"i suggest you find one million people , and pay off their mortgages , credit cards , student loans , etc"
The only two things a person NEEDS is food and a safe place to sleep
Everything else is a 'nice to have' or other luxury
This is also true for every other living creature
I got myself a new work laptop
Of course I bumped up its specs as much as I could
Put in another stick of RAM
I managed to squeeze in a second hard drive
Inside the case , there is only room for either a 3-1/2 inch drive , or an m.2
I cracked open an SSD , and found that it was mostly empty space
I was able to fit the important parts of the SSD inside the laptop next to the m.2
The SSD has the operating system , and is where I keep my work files
The m.2 has all of my personal data -- music , videos , comics
In an emergency , I can take out my drive , and leave the rest of the laptop behind
Imagine an extrovert , somebody that feels better when surrounded by people
Now put that person in an end-of-the-world scenario
The human population is slowly disappearing , maybe because of a virus
Finally , this extrovert is all alone
Imagine what hell it would be for them to spend the rest of their life in isolation
Now imagine the opposite
An introvert , somebody that feels better when alone , or with a small group of close friends
Now put that person in a world with an exponentially increasing human population
The introvert is slowly squeezed from all sides
Imagine what hell it would be for them to never find a place of solitude
oh wait , you don't have to imagine it , it's the world i'm living in right now
Once again , I put off doing my taxes until the last minute
I used the TurboTax website again
I wish it would just let me default to the standard deduction , rather than trying to find enough deductions to save me a bit more money
It never does anyway
In a lot of the superhero stories , when there is a particularly over-powered or evil bad guy
My solution is to just create a prison planet for them
Create a pocket dimension that has a copy of planet earth in it , but there are no people there
Then let the villain run around on the empty planet for the rest of their life
The Joker wouldn't have anybody to murder
Firefly would have a whole world to set on fire
All-for-One could rampage around all he likes
Somebody smart , like Lex Luthor might be able to invent a way back to the real world
I've been wondering why four of my brothers have died relatively young
While my mom lives past 90 years old
The obvious reason is that my mom is a witch , and she has been sucking away her childrens' life forces , to extend her life
She favors her daughters over her sons , so she killed them first
My second computer suddenly decided to stop working
The operating system failed and can't fix itself
So , I got another hard drive , and re-installed Windows
I only use that second computer to watch videos , search the internet , and listen to the voice chat when playing WoW
I've notieced a lack of bumper stickers on cars
I suppose it's because people now have the internet to share their opinions
There are two ways to have money
Make more money , or don't spend the money you have
I have chosen the latter
I am able to live in-expensively
I don't have any women , no children , no pets , no drug habits , no expensive hobbies
The temperature got up to 80 degrees this weekend
I spent the day raking the lawn , and turning over the soil in my 'garden'
I had my shirt off the whole time
so now I'm dirty , sore , and sunburnt
