Looks like I made it a full year of updating my blog
although there are some large chunks of time with nothing in it
I had three days of work to do out in Livonia
It was easy , and there wasn't a lot to do
So I got it done in one day
Then Joel calls me up and says
"since you got that done , you can cover for somebody else today"
THE REWARD FOR DIGGING THE BEST HOLES
IS THEY GIVE YOU A BIGGER SHOVEL
-Terry Prachett
I tried to go to a showing of The Batman that had subtitles
but oddly enough it was sold out
So I went to see Uncharted
I was distracted by the lack of logic in some of the traps
There's no way they'd undiscovered and still working after hundreds of years
The Batman
The story was a mix of a few different Batman comics stories
I don't normally complain when a movie is 'too long'
but this it should have ended after the Riddler got caught
Microcenter has a 3d printer for $200
The model gets good reviews and has a large print bed
but you have to assemble it yourself
I was at PDC , handing off a laptop to a user
his boss came with
a definite executive type
spends more on his hair and clothes than I do on food
The user was also getting a monitor and drawing tablet
coming in two large-ish boxes
I could see the boss panicking about how they're going to move the boxes to his car
I'm thinking "you're two people carrying two boxes" and I offered to help
I think I shamed him when I said "you could always use the exercise"
It has been two years since we first got sent home to quarantine ourselves
When this thing started
I thought it would only last a week
Pretty quickly , people would get tired of being stuck in their house with their kids
It has been one hundred times longer than my estimate
and only now things are getting back to normal
I renewed my Crunchyroll subscription
I've started binge watching every thing in my watchlist
starting with the older stuff first
On the internet , there was a clip of an anime of a girl plugging a small light bulb into a power outlet , and presumably electrocuting herself
I wanted to watch the whole episode to get the surrounding context
It came from an anime called YuruYuri
It's some slice-of-life story about middle school girls
I can't find the specific episode that I'm looking for
and I don't think I can get through all three seasons of this
I might come back around to it
Another clip of a cute little girl walking down the street trying to avoid sharks
It came from an anime called Sweetness & Lightning
It's about a man trying to raise his daughter after his wife died
I watched the one episode
but I think the rest is too depressing for me
I imagine my body having an internal heater and air conditioning
It heats me up in the winter , and cools in the summer
This winter , I feel like my heater never felt like it never needed to get started
because I'm spending so much time inside with space heaters
Full Metal Alchemist : Brotherhood
The internet recommended it , and I wanted to understand what all the memes were talking about
The emotional gut punches that everybody else felt first watching it years ago
were a bit spoiled for me , so I didn't feel them as much
"Are You Lost ?"
An anime about four girls stranded on an island
Each episode was only twelve minutes long , so it was a quick watch
I think they are stuck on some abandoned WWII island base
"Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life"
The title intrigued me
Another over powered isekai
I didn't think much of it , but there's some mystery in the plot I wanted to find the answer to
"Seton Academy: Join the Pack!"
It's a little bit educational , a little bit harem , a little bit furry
"Ascendance of a Bookworm"
A different flavor of isekai
She's not trying to take over the world or max out her levels
If she's going to be stuck in this world , then she's going to need something to read
and of course she's introducing these peasants to some modern technology
I'm worried that we're going to see some nastier side of the noble society
"So I'm a Spider , So What ?"
I prefer the parts where she's trying to survive in the dungeon much more than the human stuff
I hadn't noticed the time jumping until the comments section mentioned it
"Peach Boy Riverside"
Putting the anime episodes out of order made you concentrate on the plot more
"Girlfriend , Girlfriend"
A wonderful dumpster fire of a harem anime
My Hero Academia
A bunch of kids learning to use their powers
Reminds me of X-Men
I had to slog through more than 100 episodes
A lot of it wasn't enjoyable
I don't like when the villains are winning
And a lot of the rest was 'meh'
