Getting a lot of snow tonight
The cops were driving up and down the streets
announcing over their loud speaker
telling everybody to get their cars out of the street
I wish they'd do that more often
It was nice having the streets mostly clear of parked cars
Nobody's in the office today because of the snow
I don't know why they're freaking out
It's just snow
You live in Michigan
I built another snow monster
I'm still trying to perfect my snow mold
The trick is finding a way to hold the tarp closed under the weight of the snow
while still making it easy to remove when I'm done
I went up to Boyne for a day of skiing
but it really wasn't worth the time or money spent
I woke up at 6:30am , but still didn't leave until almost 8am
As I was driving down the freeway , the car was being jittery
Snow had gotten packed into one of the wheels
So I had to stop at the car wash to get it out
It took a lot longer to get up there than I thought it would
I didn't get there until 1pm
I was surprised to see the lift ticket was $90
It included all day and night , so I didn't complain too much
but they closed half of the lifts at 4:30pm
I haven't been to that mountain in twenty years
I prefer less steep slopes
I like to take my time slowly wandering down the hill
but even the green runs were faster than I'd like
I left at about 5pm
before I had gotten too cold or bored
I stopped for dinner at a place called Michael's
It was much more expensive than I was expecting
$70 for a small steak , some mashed potatoes , a beer , and dessert
It was good food , but that's as much as I spend on a week of groceries
Today , I am 17,000 days old
Months ago , I had set an alarm for today , but completely forgot about it
