The weather isn't warm enough
and the wind isn't blowing in the right direction
but I still took my boat out to the lake
It's just barely 80, and the water is still pretty cold
The wind was unsteadily coming out of the east
I don't think I'll ever try to sail into the wind again
It took me forever to get to the party
and I was buzzing from drinking half of my beers before I got there
And I've realized that I don't mind that it takes me forever to get back to shore
because it gives me time to sober up a bit
I've been hunting around for party lakes other than Cass Lake
and I was reminded of Jobbie Nooner again
I don't want to try to sail across Lake St Claire again
So I looked for small outboard motors online
I was thinking about attaching a prop to a weed wacker
I found a small motor for only $250
It arrived super fast
I ordered it on Friday, it arrived on Sunday
Now I just have to test it out, and find a way to not break my boat
This morning I noticed a family of skunks in my back yard
I was surprised to see them in the day time, I thought they were nocturnal
I think they moved into the groundhog hole
They seem to like my tall grass
I'm sure the neighbors are horrified by the sight of them
Every so often, I get hungry and start craving french fries
I think it's the starch and salt my body wants
But it's hard to find a restaurant that sells a large amount of fries at a good price
So I decided to make my own
I used the propane stove and my cast iron dutch oven
I bought some peanut oil, a wire scoop, and a thermometer
It's going to take me a while to figure out how thick to cut the potatoes, and how long to fry them
I'm cooking in the garage so I don't splatter oil all over the kitchen
First midnight beer of the year
I was worried it's going to be "freezing" all summer
I'm worried my desire for naked women is waning
Working at Ford is a sausage fest
Seeing a woman in the office is a rare sight
It's mostly old men
At the assembly plant, there's an even mix of men and women
and everybody working the line is dressed for summer weather
So the women are wearing tight and relatively revealing clothing
You'd think this would make me excited
But I mostly feel embarrassed for ogling
Maybe it's because I'm at work, and not in a store, or at the beach
As long as my dick gets hard when I need it to, I won't consider myself old yet
I think one of my dead teeth is infected
I've had a pus sack show up on my gums
I've taken to popping it with a needle when it gets big
I'm only worried that my body won't be able to handle the infection
I've heard stories of a bad tooth causing brain failure
This morning, after flossing, a lot of blood came out
I wish the bad teeth would jsut fall out already
I could go to the dentist, but I'm sure they'd insist on pulling out all of my non-perfect teeth
To make up for lost time, I decided to go sailing as much as possible
so I'm going sailing the whole weekend
The wind is blowing strongly out of the south
There's a bit too much wind to enjoy the party area
I went sailing again today
The wind is blowing more out of the west and not as strong as yesterday
Just after getting to the party area, I noticed a bunch of orange things in the water
I thought it was some boating test or diving expedition
Then I heard people yelling about "driving the boat" and I saw somebody laying on the deck
Then the boats drove off towards the boat rental place
The orange things were life jackets
I decided to scoop them up and return them
It took me a while to sail into the cove where the rental place was
It is extra hot this week
90+ degrees
I will not complain about the heat, just comment on it
I'm sweating through my clothes as I walk through the assembly plants
Annie asked me to babysit mom while she went to Australia
but that fell through, so she said I could cancel
but then she mentioned that she'd like to take Liam camping, so I said I'd still help
I took my sailboat out on her lakes
The wind was just strong enough to get me around
Once again, every body loved how relaxed I was as I laid back in my boat drinking beer
I brought my laptops to play games, but something happened to the operating system, and it wouldn't boot up
I took mom to church, I waited in the car
I decided to go on a "sunday drive"
I tried to randomly drive around looking at the scenery
Everybody's been excited about Matt's new 22 acre house
We drove over for me to check it out
It's hard to get excited about a large open field
but his chickens and pond were neat
We stopped for ice cream
I spent the rest of the afternoon assembling my inflatable catamaran
I had assumed it would be something I could put together in a few minutes
but the instructions were old and unclear
and I think it's designed to be put together once and not taken apart again
I thought I might be able to find better instructions online
but the included instructions mention a patent in 1986, and doesn't list any website
so I'm guessing the thing is about forty years old
I bet it feels good to press your naked body up against somebody else's naked body
