After talking with Christian about his 3d printer
it got me to finally get my printer working
It was able to load and print files just fine
I started with a large square to get the bed calibrated
Then I tried printing a couple of small items
but they'd come loose from the bed after just a few layers
I've taken to the old method of masking tape and a glue stick
I successfully printed my first "benchy"
At some point I'm going to want a way to connect random pieces of filament
The snow has melted and the temperature is above freezing
So I decided to go clean up some of mom's house
Tommy had driven Mom to her house, and called me on the drive back home
I mentioned my plans, and he decided to rent a dumpseter for me to fill
When I'd go to clean in past, I felt good because it was my decision
but now I feel obligated to fill up the dumpster that Tommy paid for
Over the years, Mom had filled storage bins with her random stuff and left it in the back yard
She over estimated the structural integrity of a cheap plastic tub to survive several michigan winters
Most of the tubs had filled with water and stagnated over the years
I expect I've caught a disease from the fetid water
A lot of them I couldn't lift because they were currently frozen in ice or frozen to the ground
I thought I'd have to stay over night to fill the dumpster
but it's a small one, so I was able to fill it and the two garbage cans before night fall
My muscles are sore from having to lift so many bins in to the dumpster

Christian reminded me to backup my data
I copied all of my personal files to the external hard drive
It took several hours
I am slightly worried about my failing eyesight
Human eyes have blind spots in them
The brain will fill in the gaps with surrounding information
but when you get cataracts the blind spots get bigger and the brain has to fill in more gaps
I feel like I used to be able to glance at some scene and take in all the information
but now I have to stare at it for a bit longer
Losing my eyesight would be the worst possible sense to lose
Couldn't do my job, couldn't play video games, couldn't read, couldn't watch porn
I'd have to trust other people not to lie to me about what they do see
I can guess WHEN you created the new human
I know HOW you created the new human (as disgusting a thought as that is)
I'd have to look at the birth certificate to know WHERE you created the new human
But I don't know WHY you created the new human
Although I can guess the answer is a selfish one that begins with "I wanted..."
Since my job as a field technician has mostly gone away
I've been helping out in the laptop depot
I mostly help people with their new computers
This morning the room was packed with people
and everybody had the same two problems, OneNote and PSTs
I am extremely frustrated because I know if I had done the data transfer
I would have done it right the first time
I would not have given the user a chance to complain
Due to corporate shenanigans, Joann Fabrics is closing down
They're having clearance sales on their left over stock
So I bought a sewing machine and saved a hundred bucks
I feel like my home is being invaded
Last night my neighbors were shooting off fireworks for the end of Ramadan
Today, I thought I heard a bird coming down my chimney again
Some Johova Wintesses were shouting through my door
and tonight a strong thunderstorm blew my door open
