I turned on the furnace for the first time
I blocked most of the heating vents in the house - kitchen , dining room , living room , storage room
and only left the bathroom and bedroom open
And I closed the storage room door , and hung a sheet over the doorway to the living room
Thus trapping the heat around myself and the thermostat

I wish American highschools had such after-school clubs
My dour mood brought me this thought . . .

I raked up the leaves on the front lawn
I used my new leaf shredder for the first time
It's just a weed-wacker wire spinning around , as it chops up the leaves
I'd like to stack a second or third one on top of each other , so that you end up with leaf-powder at the bottom
It's designed to work with plastic garbage bags , not paper leaf bags
so I had to scoop them up and put them in the bags
I wanted to use the shredded leaves as fertilizer , but as finely as they are chopped , they would still choke the grass
Facebook reminded me that thirteen years ago today , I built my current computer
As much as I say I need to build a new computer , my current one is still playing most of my games
The only problem is that I'll need to finally install Windows 10
A lot of applications aren't running under Windows 7 anymore
In the middle of the day , Annie called
"this can't be good"
I'm expecting her to tell me who died
Turns out , Mom is getting pace-maker put in
soooo , it might be Mom who dies soon
No work today , Veteran's Day (observed)
I went to see The Marvels
I cringed a bit at the awkward kid and family times
It does feel that Marvel \ Disney is having a hard time filling the space left by the original Avengers
Overall , I liked it
I decided to go a week sugar free
This past week , I had just water in my lunch instead of pop
and nuts instead of candy
and plain milk instead of chocolate milk
and no sugary breakfast cereals
and no sugar in my hot cereal
and no pastries
The only sweets I had were in the fruit I had in my lunches and a couple of PB&J
It was frustrating having some hunger pangs
After all , empty calories are still calories
and I had to suppliment those missing calories with extra food
which I noticed is fattier than it usually is
I guess I could have had eaten more fruits and vegetables instead
At the end of the week , I didn't notice any changes in my body
I'm not feeling any skinner
and no change in my poop
I'm going to go at least another week to see how this experiment plays out
Raven of the Inner Palace
It started out feeling like the story was going to run all season
and I'd have to keep track of all the names , places , and plots
But it turned out to be a detective story of the week
I might read the manga if it turns out the story has an ending
I was at EVB, trying to get two days of work done in just one day
I ended up staying at work until 9pm due to the network not doing what I wanted
And then I got back to EVB at 6am today
so I could make sure the users would be happy with their new computers
One lady was having a panic attack , because she couldn't remember her password , and thought her boss would get mad at her
I raked the leaves in the backyard again

I'll just say, "i had a good time"
I'm assuming I just got home from some party
When I was a kid , I remember asking mom to make me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich
I remember being surprised that she said 'yes'
because she had almost never made any food for me
Annie had invited me to Thanksgiving dinner
I declined
I wasn't interested in an awkward social gathering
that would probably add to my list of embarrassing memories
Factorio is coming out with a space expansion
I had been itching to play again , so I started up another game
I'm going to try to create my massive layout again

I downloaded the show from torrents
Another good show with a satisfying ending
I had raked my front lawn a few weeks ago
but the neighbor's leaves have finally fallen so I had to rake them up too
It started to rain\snow , but I didn't give up until I was done
