It's head shaving day
The blonde tips stood out against the brunette roots
I noticed a foul smell coming off of the tap water , like fishy lake water , especially when it's hot
It might be from the recent over flow of rain water
I let all of the taps run for a long time in an attempt to flush out the bad water
I wasn't going to drink it
So I bought a jug of distilled water from the store
I had a very good day sailing
Lots of people on the water for the holiday weekend
and the wind was blowing consistantly
It'll probably be the last nice day of the year
I had moved everything from the storage room into the living room
I was surprised by how much space was taken up in the living room
but I was just as surprised by how much space I had left over in the storage room when I put everything back
I can't imagine I'll ever have any guests over
but I'm keeping the spare bed ready just in case
I bought Escape Room Simulator
only because they just released a Portal DLC pack
The trick to the game is finding the line of logic that the programmer was on when they made the room
There's a timer in each room that you're supposed to beat
but I'm having too much fun exploring everything to go faster than that
The game requires too much of my mental focus , so I can't watch Youtube at the same time
My phone rang with an unknown number
I assumed it was just another scam call
but I answered it anyway
The lady said she was from BoA
skepitism high "uh huh"
She already knew all of my information
worried that this is a spear-phishing attack
She says that I'm owed $15000 from a new home buyers grant
i remember hearing something about that when i was filling out the mortgage paperwork
She's going to send me a letter in the mail
All I have to do is sign it and send it back
okay . . . she's not setting off any of my bullshit alarms
if this isn't a scam , i'll gladly take enough money to get myself out of debt
but i'll take this letter to the bank's branch and confirm its legitimacy
I drove to the Ohio Pawpaw Festival
I left at about 6am and arrived after 11am
Last time I went , the sun was making everything too hot
This year I brought a large beach umbrella to carry around
I got a lot of comments about the umbrella and my kilt
First thing I did was get in line to buy some fresh pawpaws
The pawpaw is not an easy fruit to eat without making a mess
I bought a pawpaw tree sapling
It takes two trees to produce fruit
but if my idea works , I'll buy a new one every year
Unfortunately , there's not a lot to do , other than spending a lot of money on arts and crafts
I got bored after a couple of hours and left
I filled up my gas tank when I got back home
I managed to travel 568 miles on one tank of gas
and got 47MPG
I planted my new pawpaw tree
It's right outside the backdoor , between the sidewalk and street
I dug out a much larger hole than neccessary , and poured in some peat moss and fertilizer
Then I surrounded the base with wood chippings and a small barrier
Now, I just have to water it , and hope it survives the weather and the neighborhood kids
I went to the bank to see if the letter is a scam
The teller was sure it was a scam
but I got a call from somebody in the loans department
It turns out that the government gave BoA a bunch of money to help people in my position
and they're just making sure that they distribute the money
When I moved into the house , a bunch of family came over and had fun peeling the paint off the walls
The top layer of paint is some cheap white latex paint that didn't properly attach to the previous coat of paint
So it's really easy to peel the paint off the walls , revealing a shade of green
I started picking at a hole in the paint , and ended up peeling a whole wall's worth of paint
I've discovered that the walls used to be painted beige , maroon , and green
I cleaned out the car and took it to the car wash
It's nice to let something get completely filthy
because it looks so much nicer after getting cleaned
I made some progress on the mailbox
I bent the sheet metal , and cleaned off the factory oil
The water is smelling foul again
I'm wondering if I should install a water filter
I sprayed the mailbox sheet metal with primer paint
I couldn't get an all over coating from the small spray nozzle , but it should suffice
I drilled holes in the mailbox metal and started painting it
I wanted "USPS Mailbox Blue"
but HomeDepot couldn't mix just any color , so I picked a shade of blue off the wall
I'll have to let it dry and put on a few more coats of paint
I attempted to flush out the water heater to see if that solves the bad water problem
I followed an instructional video
but the water wouldn't flow out of the drain spout unless water was flowing into the tank
There might be a lot of sediment and gunk in the bottom of the tank
