I hadn't realized this is Easter weekend

First warm day of the year
I wanted to get a lot of yard work done as soon as possible
There are large bare sections of the lawn
I've got a bucket of grass seed
but I'm worried about it not going just right
I need to rake up the lawn , spread the seed , and make sure it gets watered a lot
It's the watering that is the biggest headache
I need to water the front lawn under the tree , but it's right next to the neighbor's driveway , and I'm trying to not get their car wet
and the sprinklers I have are old and don't function well
and I wanted to water the whole lawn at once , but I don't think the water pressure will cover everything
The previous owner had a scattershot method to planting flowers
They come up randomly in the middle of the lawn
I plan on transplanting them all to one section of the backyard
Last year I bought a small electric wood chipper
It's still in the box
I want to make briquettes out of shredded paper , dried yard waste , and anything else that will burn
I've got a pile of leaves and sticks to run through the chipper
The back fence has weeds vines and trees growing through it
I spend a couple of hours pulling down the fence , and clearing away the brambles
It was 80 degrees out , so I was working with my shirt off
I shouldn't have been surprised when I got sunburned
I hate air conditioning
I'm sitting in the repair room , shivering
I just suffered through a long cold winter , and now that it's finally warm , you want to make it cold again
I've got an argument about how AC is morally wrong
In order to make a room cold , you have to generate more heat than you're removing from the area
That extra heat has to go somewhere , usually outside where it heats up the rest of the world even more
I just finished my taxes
I'm getting an extra $1000 back due to paying taxes on the house
That seems like too much to be getting back
I hope I got it right
I don't want to get audited
I had the going-back-to-school dream\nightmare
It took a while to get my sleepy brain to understand that I had already completed middle school and high school
Work is sending me to North Carolina
I would rather drive for eleven hours rather than deal with the logistical nonsense of airplane travel
My flight leaves at 8:40am
Last time I took the bus to the airport
It is an hour walk to the nearest bus stop , but it's better than paying for parking at the airport
Unfortunately, because of the early flight , the bus wouldn't get me to the airport with enough of a safety margin before my flight leaves
I am the type to get to the airport super early , I'd rather be sitting in the terminal for a long time , than watching as my plane flies away
I ended up in the expensive parking lot , paying $26/day
I managed to make it through security without getting stopped

I watched seasons 1-3
Then they announced season four would be The Final Season
Cool ! So I avoided watching the final season until all of them had aired , and I could binge them all
I was watching episode 69 of 75 wondering why they're introducing new characters and story lines
They should be wrapping things up at the end
It's episode 75 and I can't figure out how they're going to squeeze in a satisfying ending
So, it turns out this is just the first half of the final season
I gotta wait another year for the other half
This trip is not fun
I understand it's a business trip , but I should be allowed a bit more fun than just going from the office and back to the hotel room
It's two hours to the ocean from here . I don't have time for that
I flew into NC on Monday morning , then straight to the office
My flight leaves NC on Friday afternoon , straight from the office
If I get sent out of state again , I'm going to push for driving there
Work got me a rental car
It's relatively new , and filled with all of the bells and whistles that I hate
I immediately turned off the AC
I much prefer having the windows rolled down
No keys , just push button starting
Get close to the car with the keys in your pocket is enough to open the door
There's a big screen in the middle for the radio , phone , GPS , HVAC , and back up camera
It took some tweaking to get the GPS just how I like it
The thing kept yelling at me
"stay in your lane !"
"keep your eyes on the road !"
"careful backing up !"
The seatbelt warning was bad enough , now all this
It does that thing where it turns off the engine at stop lights
I imagine that feature will quickly wear out the starter motor
car park ransom
During this whole trip , I only used my credit card once , at the Raleigh airport , for food
That was enough to trip a security aleart at BoA
So when I tried to use my card to exit the parking structure , it kept getting rejected
It was incredibly embarrassing
The only ATM was broken
So , I called BoA to get my card unblocked , and had the technician on speaker phone while he unlocked my account
It cost $130 to park for five days
I better get reimbursed for that

My teeth have never had a good time in my head
When I was ten , I got hit in the mouth with a baseball bat , and got my two front teeth knocked out
I was never good at oral hygene
When you're young , your body is fresh and new , and has a much easier time fixing itself
So, I didn't bother to keep it maintained
and I blame poor parenting
It wasn't until my thirties that I started developing noticable cavities
I took advantage of my job's dental plan , and started going to regular dentist visits
And now I floss , brush , and mouthwash (most) everyday
My upper left wisdom tooth has been falling apart for a long time
I've even smelled something really bad when I floss it
Today , a massive chunk of it fell out
Now it's really sensitive , and easy to get food stuck in it
I avoid chewing on that side of my mouth
I should probably be worried about it
but Jeremy-logic says "it's a wisdom tooth , that nobody can see , and most people have their wisdom teeth removed without any problem , so what if i just let mine fall out instead"
Work wants to send me out of town again
This time to Nashville
I'm insisting they let me drive this time
I can visit Patti while I'm down there
Came home to discover a sticker on my front door telling me to mow my lawn

Look , I get it . You gotta make sure the neighborhood stays looking nice
but the fine is $100 and a felony

all because I didn't mow my lawn yet
I don't remember the last time I went to a movie theatre
Right now , they're only open on the weekends
I think I'll go back to the one movie a week thing
Godzilla vs Kong
I liked it
Story was predictable
Needs more monster fighting , less humans
The closest theatre is at the Fairlane Mall
but I think I might start driving all the way out to Livonia again
The young people are causing problems all across the mall
There's a curfew , and security was kicking them out of the ticket line
I'm fully in favor of it
There was a pack of screaming idiots right behind me
Made it really hard to focus on the movie
Went to see Nobody
Very hard not to compare it to John Wick
But still enjoyable
Bought Wonder Woman 84 on DVD
It had the same flavor as the other DC movies
I can see why the critics pooped on it
but I liked it
The lawn has flowers randomly popping up all over
I think maybe from the animals digging up the bulbs and re-burying them
I've tried just mowing over them , but it'll take a lot of chopping before they'll stay down
So I'm replanting all the flowers into one section of the backyard
The grass is going to look pockmarked and scarred for a long time , but it already looks bad as is
